Send a precise map pin and identify the correct entrance. Describe narrow streets, gates, overhead obstacles, steep approaches or limited turning space. Photos help the coordinator ask the right questions, but do not replace confirmation that the actual truck can enter safely.
Plan the handoff
Agree a receiving window and designate a contact who will be present. Confirm that the unloading team, equipment and storage area are ready. If the container must be lifted off the trailer, arrange a suitable lifting service explicitly; do not assume the road truck includes that capability.
Confirm the next step
Keep access clear on delivery day. Before opening or unloading, follow your receiving procedures for identifying the container and noting visible concerns. Record completion and keep any agreed delivery documentation for your shipment file.
